Dr Sketchy’s Melbourne is very proud to annouce it’s upcoming special Saturday afternoon session on February 2nd as part of the 2008 Midsumma festival!

At this special Dr Sketchy’s event for Midsumma Melbourne we will be treated to The Australian Ballet’s sexiest dancers, Kevin Jackson and Vivienne Wong who will perform a short piece before posing.

This is the best excuse if you ever needed one to come out and sketch - 2 of Australia’s premier ballerinas will be at your disposal while you sketch their plies and see how long they can hold on pointe!!

The second half of this special session pays tribute to our burlesque spirit with one of Australia’s hottest burlesque acts, and a Dr Sketchy favourite, Sarah Lea Cheesecake.

Not only do we have these amazing models lined up but this session will take place on a Saturday afternoon!

I recommend not leaving this to the last minute as the opportunity to sketch these models may not happen outside of a festival atmosphere!

Happy New Year All!

Dr Sketchy's will be back in 2007! Last Wednesday of every month 8pm at The Butterfly Club, so make sure you've got pencils sharpened and at the ready! More details of the next session soon!

Dr Sketchy's Melbourne gots all it's Christmas wishes when Lola Cherry Cola from Man's Ruin Burlesque joined us as special guest model for December! Lollies, christmas cookies, candy canes and Lola - what more could an Art Monkey want!?!

Hark!! Christmas is almost upon us, and with that must come a Christmas celebration!!

Dr Sketchy's Melbourne will be holding a special Sketch Session with Melbourne's Queen of Cheesecake, Miss Lola Cherry Cola from Mans Ruin Burlesque!

Sketch Session starts at 7pm, followed by the Xmas Bash (9pm) to bring on Christmas and celebrate the last 6 months of Dr Sketchy's here in Melbourne!

Thank you to all the wonderful sketchers that came out last Wednesday July 26 for Dr Sketchy's Anti-Art School Melbourne's 1st session!!

Much alcohol and pencil shavings on the floor at the end of the session was a good sign that a great night full of sketching and fun was had by all!

Dolores Daiquiri was an absolute treat as first model and dazzled us with her gorgeous costumes and cheeky poses! Visit Dolores and the Hi Ball Burlesque ladies at Hi Ball Burlesque

You better believe it cocks and chicks! Plans for Dr Sketchy's Melbourne have reached
fruition with the wonderful Butterfly Club as venue for our event. Wednesday 26 July is the scheduled first date for Dr Sketchy's in Melbourne... That's right folks I'll be trialling a mid week, evening session Dr Sketchy's for those Melbourne art monkeys that need their burlesque babe in pose mode hit! Of course you will be the first to know as more information comes to hand!!
