I didn't realise a week wasn't nearly enough time to leave myself to organise my application for the JET Program. On Wednesday, when it was looking like it would take 5-10 working days to get my transcript and proof of enrolment, 4-6 weeks to replace my Certificate IV, and I had no response from my Sensei about the reference I need from him, things were looking dire. I thought I'd missed my chance at a job in Japan simply through disorganisation. But today, a bunch of things came through.

♥ Finding out that I didn't have to wait 5-10 working days for my transcript of results, I could just get it printed instantly at the Student Service Centre - at the last minute.
♥ Realising that my degree was not lost, but was in fact inside my wardrobe - at the last minute.
♥ RMIT emailing to say that yes, I could come and pick up the Certificate IV that I never received - at the last minute.
♥ My colleague A. coming through and agreeing to write me a reference - at the last minute.
♥ Y-Sensei coming through and agreeing to write me a reference - at the last minute.

What's the best music (i.e. CD, record, etc.) store in the CBD (or immediate surrounds)? I used to be a fan of JB but lately I've been getting kind of poor service from the folk there, and more often than not I have to order in CDs I'm after which can take a few weeks. I'm in to all kinds of music so I'm not after a specialty store, just a cool place that has popular and lesser-known music, and nice staff who can recommend good music and order in CDs if need be.

Can anyone recommend a good driving school? I'm a rank beginner. Currently looking at RACV but am open to suggestion, esp. ones that are a little more efficient when it comes to my wallet.

So I've realised that part of the reason I'm so insane is I don't *DO* anything. I'm working on this, and slowly getting back into knitting and writing and drawing and such - but it helps to have some sort of deadline and purpose.

so! if you want to help me out - let me make you something. If you comment on this post I will make you something shiny (and probably small and finishble) within the next few months.

The obvious catch is that you have to offer the same to other people. Plus this obviously isn't a copypastable kind of entry, so you'll have to write your own post saying what you are offering and why.

Just a little while before my Birthday I came across this wonderful and very generously provided tutorial by Ann Wood for making her beautiful cardboard horses, I had so admired them when I first saw them and I decided to make a little herd of my own as a Birthday treat.

They now charge across the top of my lounge room doorway.
